Ian Juliano, CEO and Founder
Ian brings a wealth of experience to Excel Health. Prior to Excel he was the CEO of Homecare CRM (acquired by Sigmacare), a leading provider of census growth and market analytics solutions to the post-acute care sector, with clients such as Amedisys, Golden Living and Heartland (HCR Manorcare). Ian also served as EVP of Corporate Development for Brightree (acquired by ResMed), a leading technology provider to the post-acute industry, and CFO of CRE Secure (acquired by ControlScan), a VC-backed technology company. Ian has over a decade of experience in senior corporate development roles, including SVP of Corporate Development at West Corporation.
Ian has an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the Wharton school, and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. John Lees, Founder
John has extensive experience optimizing healthcare networks, systems and operations. He has led multiple companies across the various facets of healthcare. As President of Revenue Cycle Services for MedAssets, John helped hundreds of hospitals significantly improve all facets of their coding, billing, and collections operations. He has leveraged his deep analytical and operational expertise with private and public clients across the US, including the CDC, Barnabas Health, Ochsner Health Systems, Jackson Memorial, and Hollywood Presbyterian. Previous positions include SVP of Strategy and Operations at revenue cycle management provider Liberty Billing and Consulting, GM of healthcare market intelligence firm Dominic & Irvine, SVP at MedAssets and Associate at Booz Allen Hamilton.
John has a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Georgia and Bachelor of Arts in both Physics and Mathematics from the University of Virginia.
Kevin Gunter, Founder
Kevin has 25 years of experience helping providers take their growth strategies to the next level and unlock new sources of patient growth. Prior to Excel, Kevin served as the SVP of Business Development for Curo Health Services, a start-up national Hospice company that grew to a census of 7,000. Previously Kevin led the home health and hospice sales for Amedisys, one of the largest home health and hospice providers in America. During his tenure, Amedisys, achieved its largest company-wide census growth ever (2009). Prior to entering the PAC industry, Kevin spent 12 years in sales leadership roles for Elan, King, and Auxilium Pharmaceuticals.
Kevin has B.S. in Management from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Ted Tyree, SVP of Technology
Ted Tyree joined Excel Health in 2015 as the SVP of Development. Within the first 3 months of joining Excel, he launched our flagship product, a SaaS web portal presenting data from over 4.6 billion data records and 300 million Medicare claims. Ted has over 20 years of experience as a software engineer and technology leader. During his career, he has designed and delivered mission critical systems to fortune 500 organizations such as Verizon, Comcast, PWC and AT&T. Prior to Excel, Ted headed the IT Division at Delta Community Supports, a multi-State provider of support care for persons with Intellectual Disabilities, serving 2 non-profit organizations and over 500 employees.
Ted Tyree Mr. Tyree earned his B.A. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Rochester. He is also certified in LEAN Six Sigma.
